Hello my dear Dalin;

How long have you been doing so far? I was trying to send you an email, however, it can't be accessed.

Amazingly, I found your blog "Princess POOH" accidently through Maria's blog roll. I am now doing research study, as fulfillment of my bachelor degree at the Department of Media and Communication, about " Cambodian female bloggers and their personal experiences of using blog". What do you think if I invite you to participate in my study. It is a face-to-face interview, oh by the way, you're still in Cambodia?

M looking forward to hearing from you.

Miss and Love

Hello:

I am Jessica Francis. I am from Germany. I am now conducting a research study on Bloggers in Cambodia as part of my master thesis. This master thesis analyses the role of blogs, especially Journalistic Gatekeeper Blogs, in the Cambodian Media system.

The Freedom of Press in Cambodia is concerned not free by Freedom House. TV and Radio are mostly controlled by the government and only a few newspapers dare write critically about the government or certain connected subjects - then fearing defamation and threats.

This survey is the foundation of the master thesis trying to give an overview of the complete blogosphere in Cambodia.

Resulting from this survey in a more advanced stage this thesis will focus on blogs on subjects as society, human rights, politics etc. (Journalistic Gatekeeper Blogs)

The aim is to show in which extent these blogs take over the function of traditional media in Cambodia for the Internet is mostly free from censorship. Although only used by 1 percent of the Cambodians the www is an upcoming platform of expression particularly for young people. Cambodian bloggers are organized as cloggers since 2007.
